Captain`s Cabin in Digby

Drove a long way to Digby to end up here. Worst lunch I ever paid for. Tepid food, and overdone frozen vegetables Skimpy serving of scallops. Tourist rip-off, STAY AWAY.

Great seafood platter!

Had the Halibut dinner and the person I was with had the chicken parmeasan, both were done perfectly. Servers were very friendly and portions were very good. Deffinetly will visit again the next time im in the province.

We stopped at the last restaurant on the strip "The Captains Cabin" , which was the only establishment which had empty seats, many in fact! After eating here I know why!Word of advice STAY CLEAR! I ordered the lobster wrap $15.99 which had 6 or 7 microscopic pieces of lobster in it the rest lettuce! Oh I forgot it came with mashed potatoes, which of course were "instant"! My wife ordered the Captains Table special Greek salad which arrived with absolutely no dressing! The poor waitress who was new was very nice. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED !!dining in Digby N.S. 😐

Good service. Fish was fresh but not crispy. Mashed potatoes were not good. Burger 🍔 was good.

Fish and chips were OK, and the special includes a tasty brew from a Bear River micro brewery. Many of the rest of the items on the menu seemed quite pricey for little Digby, especially considering the Scallops are caught by boats that dock probably a few hundred metres from the restaurant! Could be a tourist trap. Friendly and pleasant service and reasonably nice decor.

Good food, and comfortable tables and chairs. They have a great veggie lasagna and pies.

The food was pretty good but it was more expensive than a lot of places

Was there on August 2nd, 2016. The service was not welcoming. The food was not the best at all. I was also over charged for the Lobster Roll which was advertised on a board outside of the restaurant for less. Had a much better meal two days later at the Shore Thing Seafood.

Really good food. The waitresses are amazing. Ours put my leftover potato skins in a tinfoil lined container. Genius, it was appreciated. The table beside us had a to be honest an annoying as hell jerk who thought he was funny but was bothering everyone. Their waitress took it like a champ and had some friendly bantering with him. Bravo. You deserve a medal

Service is good, food is fair

Food was amazing, not a bad price point. Caesar was great. I got the steak, was cooked perfect. Hubby got seafood lasagna, really enjoyed it.

Great location but that’s all. No lobster? That’s hard to believe in Digby NS. Plain greasy food way too expensive $130 for five people. We ate at a much nicer place in mahone bay for $80. Mother in law was sick and puking all night from the seafood platter. I would never return or recommend. I wouldn’t feed their food to my dog.

It was between meal times when we arrived, do ot eating very busy at the time. Our waitress was very friendly and prompt. Our orders were taken, and arrived very quickly. Food quality was excellent ams portions were good. I would recommend this place to anyone

Frozen veggies (still cold). Server was nice, on the plus side.

The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly.

Food was ok but nothing exceptional service was good. However seemed to work out very expensive for what we got. This is caused by the high tax (15%). We are from UK where there is no tax on food. Of course you are then expected to tip another 15% staff should be paid a decent wage then there would not be a need to tip so much.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed The chowder was delicious .I definitely stop by again next visit .

Good food with great service.

Excellent food. Had the scallop roll. Four BIG Digby scallops so fresh you would swear they had just been caught. Served with a very nice potato salad and side of slaw. Very reasonable pricing, very clean establishment, very friendly staff and service. We made a detour to Digby for the freshest scallops possible. We weren't disappointed.

The meals were good, especially the dessert. Great value for the price. Very friendly service.

The hands down BEST fish and chips I've ever eaten! Fantastic service as well! So fast and friendly ! Definitely worth while!

Went for lunch and ordered a chicken Ceasar wrap. Fake bacon and way too much of it, gave it a chemically taste. Husband's hamburger was overcooked and dry

This is a great restaurant in downtown Digby. They have a great selection of steak and seafood dishes, with a large variety of lighter fare as well. They also have a selection of desserts, but I did not save room after my serving of fish & chips. The staff are very friendly. We had great service during our visit. Highly recommended.
